Election of Chair (Dianne Goodwin) and Vice-Chair (Steve Bauer)
SIG-07 membership has increased from 38 (2005) to 42 (2006) members. Please note that several individuals said they would become SIG-07 members but have not been added to the ofical RESNA member list and list serve. Until they are added to the list serve we willl cc them on SIG-07 communication.
Dianne will contact SIG-07 members for your feedback and ideas on the points below.
Platform sessions involving (ideas):
- Primary and secondary market research
- Ability to identify and use secondary market research (NISD, SIPP, etc)
- Estimating market potential/valuation
- Focus group analysis and post-focus group Kano survey information
- Sampling, Recruitment, FG methodology and analysis, post FG Kano survey, secondary market data and analysis
- Chain from consumers through secondary market research
- Case Studies: Customer Needs to Product Requirements to Product / success and failure in this chain iGlide
Transgenerational Design and market splitting (I added this because we have a nice case. SB)
- Investor, SBIR presentations
- Technology licensing
- Global market and enterprises
- Student competition (marketing or business plan for AT) [This is a neat idea!]

Actions:
- Invite member feedback on proposed platform sessions.
- Members should take a look at the SIG07 website (http://sig07.buffalo.edu) and send feedback to Dianne and Steve. How can the website provide value to you? What would you like to see more of, less of or different?

- We’re adding a member page where you can include information about your company or service; your organization’s icon or logo and the link to your organization. Please send this information to Steve. [Follow up with Robert van Etten, Ilka Sarnio and Zen Teck Hong regarding SIG07 web listing for their organizations.
- Complete website update; add new members to web list
- Potential opportunity with START Centre for new technology development; iCreate Conference announced
- RESNA is asking members to identify SIG related reference materials (books, journals, monographs...). Members should email reference suggestions (tech transfer; disability and elder markets and technologies; public policy impacting tech transfer, markets or industry; other ideas to Dianne or Steve.
